Special Needs Education - Master of Education - Module 1 (PO 2014)

The final module examination in module FSE1 is a written examination (120 minutes). According to the examination regulations, these three seminars of the module are included in the written examination:

  • FSE1a Prevention, Intervention & Classroom Management
  • FSE1b Communication, Interaction & Conflict Management
  • FSE1c Cooperative and social teaching-learning arrangements

All three seminars are currently offered every semester. It is generally possible to take these three seminars in different semesters. However, as the MAP exam always refers to the seminars in the previous semester, we strongly recommend that you take all three seminars of the FSE1 module in the same semester and also write the MAP exam at the end of this semester. Although we endeavour to keep the content of the three seminars stable over the different semesters, we also develop the seminar concepts further and adapt the content to feedback from students. Therefore, if you decide to split the FSE1 seminars over different semesters, please take into account the increased learning effort this may entail before the exam.

If you are not yet on the MA Special Needs Education programme

If you are not yet on the MA, you can attend all three seminars in the module. However, you can only take the MAP as soon as you have transferred to the MA. The MAP exams in FSE1 are offered twice at the end of each lecture period. The first date is immediately after the following lecture period (e.g. 25 February for the winter semester or 25 July for the summer semester). The second date is immediately at the beginning of the new semester (e.g. 1 April for the winter semester or 1 October for the summer semester). Please note that we only fill the seminars with BA students if the maximum number of participants has not yet been reached. If this number is exceeded, we will unfortunately have to reject BA students.
