What do I have to consider when working with literature?

The independent research and procurement of scientific literature is a basic requirement for the preparation of a BA/MA thesis. It is assumed that you are already familiar with this before starting your BA/MA thesis and that you familiarise yourself with the subject matter independently. DGPs/APA standards for citing sources are assumed for all members of the department. Reference books and articles from scientific journals are accepted as scientific literature. Popular scientific sources should not form the basis of a scientific paper in the ESE department. Further information on researching and citing literature can be found here:

Important: The University Library regularly offers free courses on literature research and literature management for beginners and advanced students. There is also a course programme specially tailored to students studying for a teaching degree in special needs education.
